Becoming a Certified Private Pilot is the first step in the aviation journey! Once you achieve this milestone, you can use aviation for almost any personal reason. You can simply take a crystal clear morning and enjoy the views, fly to the nearest beach for a quick get away, or even take yourself to business meetings. You can also bring along friends and family to show them your passion. The minimum required flight time for a PPL is 40 hours. This number will vary for each person and is only a minimum. Depending on training consistency you should plan on 45-65 hours to become a Private Pilot.

Remember that overcast day that made you drive to the beach because you couldn't fly in the clouds. Maybe the Haze layer was low and thick and you had to cancel the business meeting 4 hours away. The Instrument Rating will allow you to stretch those wings farther! Although there are times the weather is too dangerous to fly, even for the Instrument rated pilot, having the rating allows you to fly in conditions that will keep a non Instrument rated pilot on the ground. If you plan to make a career out of flying, this is the next step after the Private Pilot License. It requires 40 hours of simulated or actual instrument flight time, 15 of which must be with a CFI-I and 50 hours PIC X-country.
So you've decided that you want to earn money while flying. With the Private Pilot License, you cannot legally be paid to fly. So, you need a Commercial Pilot License. In order to do this, you must have accrued at least 250 hours of total flight time. You also need some additional training and if you want the Commercial License to be useful, you will need to have an Instrument Rating first. We are here to guide you every step of the way, curating an instruction path that meets your individual needs.
This is as high as it gets. This is essentially the "Doctorate Degree" of Aviation. Although this Certificate is only required to fly for an Airline, it is highly respected in the Corporate world and any other Professional flight environment. It leads to better job options and cheaper insurance for your employer. There have been some recent regulatory changes and there is some additional training required on top of 1500 hours minimum flight time and practice for the check ride.
